What is an FBO?
A fixed base operator, or FBO, is a private terminal that handles passengers and aircraft. You check in at a calm lounge rather than a busy concourse, and you walk a short distance to the aircraft.
Dedicated business airports
Many cities have airports used mainly by private aviation, such as Farnborough near London, Le Bourget near Paris and Teterboro near New York. These are often closer to the city or quicker to clear than the main commercial airports.
